Add the date field on your template, right click on the field and choose properties.
Set type to Date and set date format to your desired format 'M M D D Y Y Y Y'.
That should work.
Do you actually want a space between each character in the format?
If that is the case, then follow Hakan's instructions, but set the format to 'MMDDYYYY' without spaces. Then format the field using the character spacing tab in the font settings--expand the spacing by the desired number of points.

I have tried previously the belows format on RTF File. It is not working.
<?xdoxslt:ora_format_date(INVOICE_DATE, 'D D M M Y Y Y Y')?>
<?format-date:INVOICE_DATE;'D D M M Y Y Y Y'?>
Please let me know any other possibility is there let me know ASAP step by step.
