After upgrading the rpd from 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11.4 the default values in init blocks gets appended by a character 'd' even though the dynamic variable is of nature integer and not varchar. Has anyone faced this issue and found any resolution?
I'm fighting the same issue right now. Working a SR with Oracle, will update this if / when we find a resolution.
Hi Scott, Did u get an update from Oracle on character "d" issue?
Please let me know. Even we are facing the same issue.
For this issue, Development had suggested to upgrade to 18.104.22.168.7, after which our issue got resolved.
Oracle (FINALLY) got back to me with a fix - but not to upgrade to 22.214.171.124.7 (which fixed the earlier posters issue, I'll have to try it).
Instead, they suggested changing the SQL from something like:
select max(fiscal_year) from blah
select cast(max(fiscal_year) as number(4,0)) from blah
the number(4,0) means to return no decimal places, which then appears to make OBIEE behave properly.
Hope this helps,
