    Conditionally executing a Pair validation set

    User185836
      Greetings,
      I am working on an Invoice report that has a Header and Detail section. The primary difference between the two reports is the inclusion of the Account Flexfield for the Detail section. It is not required for the Header section. I am using the GL_SRS_LEDGER_FLEXFIELD value set in a pair validation type.

      I have a parameter, Report Type, that validates to Header or Detail. When it is Detail I would like the user to be prompted for the GL Account From and To parameters otherwise the GL Account from and To should not be prompted for.

      Is this type of behavior possible or do I need to bite the ole bullet and product two separate concurrent programs?

      My Edit and Validate look like the following...
      Edit
      FND POPIDR
      IF :$FLEX$.XXU_REPORT_TYPE = “Detail”
      Then APPL_SHORT_NAME="SQLGL" CODE="GL#"
      NUM=:$FLEX$.GL_SRS_COA_UNVALIDATED REQUIRED="Y"
      VALIDATE="NONE" SEG=":!VALUE" DESC=":!MEANING"
      NAVIGATE="!DIR" VDATE=""
      END IF

      Validate
      FND VALIDR
      IF :$FLEX$.XXU_REPORT_TYPE = “Detail”
      THEN APPL_SHORT_NAME="SQLGL" CODE="GL#"
      NUM=:$FLEX$.GL_SRS_COA_UNVALIDATED VALIDATE="NONE"
      REQUIRED="Y" DESC=":!MEANING" SEG=":!VALUE" VDATE=""
      END IF

      many thanks in advance for any suggestions you may send my way.
      Tom
