Is your iPad connected to the network that the server is on and can it resolve the server name?
Are you trying to connect to your office network or your personal PC?(looking at your error this seems as the probable cause)
If it is office network you have to get your server(were OBIEE is installed) on public domain, your IT admin people could help you on this. Your IP address is not meant to be accessed on open internet directly; access is blocked in firewalls. So you need to get a new IP from admin guys(to get the machine on public domain) which allows the mobile application to accesss the server.
Apart from this most cmmon errors are:
1) Recheck the login nane and paaword
2) Make sure the port number you enter is correct(it is 4 digits after ':' symbol mostly it is 9704).
3) The SSO and SSL toogle are off.
4) Dont make any changes in Spaces for anlytics and Publisher path.
I as trying to connected to demo server hosted by Oracle.
That connection is configured in the app by default
Do you know if the demo server server configured in the app is no longer available
