I installed APEX 4.2 in oracle 11g(64 bit). There was no error encountered at the time of installation. but When I try to access APEX using localhost:8080/apex , nothing shows up.
What could be the problem please guide me.
Oracle 18.104.22.168.0 (64bit)
OS windows 7 64bit
Sorry, I got it as if there was an error during the installation ... Anyway, usually that happens when you do not load / fail to load the images ....
What type of web server are you using ?? and which listener version ?? If it is Listener 2.0 then its configuration completely differs from Listener 1.3 or 1.4 ... However, there is a forum for Apex Listener.
If its a new Oracle 11g instance then you must enable network services. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/install.42/e35123/otn_install.htm#BEHGBHDF
And unlock the APEX_PUBLIC_USER and ANONYMOUS accounts.
Hi, Thanks for your suggestion and time.
I tried that and executed the script and those users are unlocked already.
But, still I am not able to see login page.. all I see is a blank page.. (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage)
I solved the issue.. For those who are facing similar problem this is what i did.
1. Checked Status of listener..
I found that it was not started. Tried to start that but found TNS-12545 error.
2. So, i went to Net Manager. and assigned my database to the listener and made sure Host name was same in both TNS and LISTENER.
3. Restarted the Listener.
4. APEX running fine.. without any problem..
I hope it helps someone.
I have the same issue. I am installing apex 4.2
But I am using the databse listener and not apex listener. Is this possible?
I am configuring Apex with embedded PL/SQL Gateway. Is this still supported?

Here's the problem detailed : Apex home page 404 not found, listener.ora edition ?
