I have Oracle database in that in one or more table I have blob data also, i.e. images are stored, now I would like to move that data to sql server database, what is the best way to do this ?
I would like to test for one table migration which contains image data in the Oracle database and move into SQL Server table.
How do I test for migrating data from one table from Oracle to SQL Server ?
But first thing I would like to confirm is that whether Image data moving from Oracle DB to SQL Server DB is possible ? is there anything has to be taken care while migrating ?
Thanks in advance.
With Best Regards

One can assume Microsoft is very happy for people who want to migrate a database from their competitors. So much so they even let you download a free tool,
You can search for SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA)
I think it is supported. The equivalent datatype in sql server is IMAGE/varbinary(max)
Refer the below article for mapping of datatypes:
In sql server, which is the best suitable datatype to store the image and for data migration from oracle to sql server point of view, Image or VarBinary(Max) ? and why ?

It is important to know which data type is best suitable (to store image in sql server) for data migration point of view also.
