Hi Guru's,

I am trying to install Oracle RAC 11g R2 Grid Infrastructure on HP-UX 11.31 IA64 OS, but at the time of prerequisite check it get's hung on 95% saying "Checking User Mask ...". Could anyone can help me to resolve this issue ? I have already configured "grid" user with "0022" umask on both the hosts.

After last line "Result: User "grid" is not part of "root" group. Check passed", it get's hung every time.

Could you please tell me if i am missing something. If these above packages and patches are not installed then also it should go to next step saying that these many prerequisites are yet to be resolved . Right ?

Also after running "runcluvfy.sh" when it get's hang, i checked processes from "grid" user through -

    -------------------------------
    #ps -ef | grep grid

    grid 4484 3851 0 13:08:40 pts/1 0:00 /usr/bin/sh -c /tmp/CVU_11.2.0.1.0_grid/exectask.sh -getusermask 2>&1
    grid 4499 4490 0 13:08:40 pts/1 0:00 /usr/local/bin/bash
    grid 3808 3806 0 13:07:24 pts/1 0:00 /bin/sh ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n host1,host2 -fixup -verbose
    grid 3851 3836 0 13:07:47 pts/1 0:09 /tmp/bootstrap/jdk/bin/IA64W/java -classpath /tmp/bootstrap/jdk/lib/rt.jar:/tmp/bootstrap/jlib/cvu.jar:/tmp/bootstrap/jlib/srvm
    grid 4490 4486 0 13:08:40 pts/1 0:00 - -c umask; echo END
    grid 4486 4484 0 13:08:40 pts/1 0:00 /tmp/CVU_11.2.0.1.0_grid/exectask -getusermask
    grid 3795 3790 0 13:07:02 ? 0:00 sshd: grid@pts/1
    grid 3836 3808 0 13:07:41 pts/1 0:00 /bin/sh /tmp/bootstrap/bin/cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n host1,host2 -fixup -verbose FROMRUNCLUVFY
    grid 3797 3795 0 13:07:03 pts/1 0:00 -sh
    grid 3806 3797 0 13:07:03 pts/1 0:00 /usr/local/bin/bash

    --------------------------------

Seems it's trying to get umask but because of some issue it's waiting to complete "exectask -getusermask" command.
Do you have any idea ?
