First of all...yes it is the right place for FR issues..Which version of FR studio? Which version of FR server? both should be identical..even the patch level.....

Possible firewall issues or connectivity issues.Can you ensure ports used by FR are all open and telnet gives a correct response?
If this is a client specific issue only with FR Studio continuing to log you in successfully on the server(if it happens to be Windows) or if other client PC also allow a successful login,then you can try a couple of things.
1.Telnet the following ports from the client to the server and ensure connectivity--6800 to 6805,8200,8299,these are default ports,if you are using customized ports then ping the appropriate port numbers
2.If telnet to all of these ports is successful,then copy the HReports.jar file from the server from under the products/biplus/lib directory and replace the same file on the client machine,the location is going to be the same,ensure you back up the HReports.jar file on your machine before replacing it if case you need to revert back

error handling of Hyperion is not at all good.This error generally occurs when there is a version mismatch between FR Studio Client & Workspace.Try to install the FR client directly from Workspace from the Menu Bar after Login "Install".See if it helps.
