How the update statement works in oracle RAC environment.As mention here you dont need to care your update run on rac or standalone.
And why we need a separate redo for each instance what will happen if we wont give.This issue related wiht RAC instance, In rac system each node have their redlogfiles
As others said, there is no difference. It looks like you didnt explain your doubt/issue clearly.
In RAC, two different instances running on two different nodes, so you need seperate set of redo in order to manage.
Please be clear with your question, so that you will get right answer.
