Here is the situation:
Two different databases DB1, and DB2.
Application that use DB2 need to access one table in DB1 with SELECT only access. This table has over 100 million rows partitioned by week. Application only need data that came in last 5 days.
For 5 days of data I do NOT want to replicate the entire table in DB2.
What are my options?
Thanks in advance!
one option you have is to use oracle streams with a capture or apply rule. In this case you can do some "where" conditions in your replications where only data is applied which is needed.
Also in Golden Gate you will find a similar option.
Last one that i know is Quest Shareplex which can also do this job for you.
