I am using JDeveloper 188.8.131.52.0 with Weblogic 10.3.6.
In my application I am using an applet that communicates with a server process to digitally sign a given database row. My application allows a user to sign a row by clicking a "Sign Data" button. Clicking on this button brings up a panelWindow where the user confirms their choice and signs the data.
The issue I am having is this: in IE 8 on Windows 7 SOME users report that on opening of the signing window they see an ADF warning popup that reads:
Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?
There are one or more dependent dialogs open. Navigation from this page will invalidate any open dialogs.
Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page.
A few things:
1. There are NO other dialogs open.
2. Only some IE 8 / Windows 7 users report this, the vast majority experience NO issues.
3. I have checked all of the settings in IE and nothing seems out of order.
Can anyone think of what might be causing this issue? There are no problems with Firefox, Chrome or IE 9 and again only SOME IE 8 users experience this issue.
this appears to be the "uncommitted data warning dialog" if it is from ADF. You configure this warning on the af:document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/apirefs.111230/e17491/tagdoc/af_document.html
Does anyone have any more information on this issue? I tried turning the uncommitted data warning dialog off but I still get the popup message. For some reason this issue only seems to affect users running IE 8, although some users with IE 8 do not get the popup.
