Using the latest Java7 javaws:
Java Web Start 10.9.2.05
Using JRE version 1.7.0_09-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM
I'm seeing some log entries in this format:
network: Connecting http://localhost:8080/WebTyper/data/json/typer/post with cookie "JSESSIONID=9959EF4A6B99DA9B93E7A53762312B57"
It's happening during the use of sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection. But that's not the only odd thing, before I use the object I'm setting the cookie manually:
conn.setRequestProperty("Cookie", "JSESSIONID=" + URLEncoder.encode(jSessionId, "UTF-8"));
And it's not taking it, it's using the first cookie it created when loading the jar file.
Clearly I'm missing something fundamental but what it it?
