Having a big problem with Cascading Select Lists on Mobile -- URGENT

Scott H.
When creating a mobile page with apex 4.2 (on db 11g r1, weblogic 11g) the LOV animation works fine.

However, when I try to use a cascade option, i get an error

this occurs when I change the parent LOV

Error: parsererror - SyntaxError: Unexpected token <

The cascading will then, not be in the correct animation, and will not update automatically.

I've tried reproducting on apex.oracle.com, however, the animations do not appear to be working at all.

I have a deadline to get a new mobile app up as soon as possible, and I've tried everything I can to fix this unsuccessfully.

Any help? I saw someone else got this error, tried posting there, but no one has responded to my posts there.

Thanks,
Scott

Can you post login info to your Oracle account to see this issue?

Is the issue on an Android, IPhone, Blackberry?

Thank you,

Kinda hard to diagnose based upon limited information and no way to SEE what is happening...

Thank you,

I agree Tony.. the issue on apex.oracle.com is that the Select Lists only come up as standard, they don't come up as mobile versions.

was seeing if anyone else had this problem. I'll see if I can post screen shots somewhere

Hi Scott,
the issue on apex.oracle.com is that the Select Lists only come up as standard, they don't come up as mobile versions.
what do you mean with "mobile versions"? Are you talking about a popup dialog? A popup is used when more than 10 select list entries are displayed. Does this help to reproduce on apex.oracle.com?

Regards
Patrick

Hi Patrick.. I tried including more values.. does not seem to help

look at http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=64502

no authentication on there....

if I could email you off the record, maybe I can show you on my system... due to firewalls, my external port won't be routed, but ic an do a joint session.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

added record 10 to your test data set so that the parent LOV is using a popup. But everything looks fine with your example on apex.oracle.com
this occurs when I change the parent LOV
Error: parsererror - SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
Which browser are you using to test this? Have you tried Google Chrome? Use the "Network" tab of the Developer Tools to see what is sent and what you get back when you change the parent LOV. That might help us to find out from where you get the "Unexpected token <". The "Console" tab might also show additional error information.

Regards
Patrick

Hi Scott,

sorry for the late response. Looking at your HTTP response

it looks like you are getting Content-Type:text/html; back instead of the requested Accept:application/json. Can you have a look at the "Response" body itself. It should show you the 307 char long HTML content. I think that should give us additional details what is wrong. I assume it's an error message you get.

Regards
