I am working with version 188.8.131.52.
I am unable to open Maxl from command-line even though I have Set ESSBASEPATH.
when I opened the Maxl from command-line to run "essmsh" command , it just open & close within a second.
I also try to execute the essmsh.exe file using command line but now here is getting error like :
"Failed to initialize MaxL"
before few day's ago it work's fine but when I configured the essbase from now I am facing the this problem.
Could you tell me when we configured the essbase/foundation services, we need to set all the path again in the "Environment variable" or need to install Essbase Client again?

Try running startMaxl.cmd or startMaxl.sh
It will be in
If I Run startMaxL from command it gives me following information:
Essbase MaxL Shell 64-bit - Release 11.1.2 (ESB184.108.40.206.100B2166)

Yes from here I am able to open the MaxL, then why I can't open it from run window by entering essmsh command.
So Maxl is working then, if you want to be able to run StartMaxl from command line without having to go to the directory then try adding the directory location to the windows path environment variable
to the end of the path variable
ok, you mean copy the StartMaxL.bat path into the PATH variable.
Yes, I have copy this path into my PATH variable , now if I run the essmsh.exe from command prompt , it's open MaxL. Thanks for this but now problem is when I enter essmsh into the RUN & press ok then again facing the same problem.
also set the ESSBASEPATH variable.(with EssbaseClient PATH) & also set ARBORPATH as same as ESSBASEPATH.
Still I am not able to open my Maxl directly. The cmd window is open & close it again in friction of second.
Could you help me out.
You only need to add the following to the path variable C:\Oracle\Middleware\projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin it doesn't need the StartMax.bat
Why do you need to use essmsh as StartMaxl.bat sets all the variables and then calls essmsh, StartMaxl can be used in the same way.
