Hi,

i have created the service as shown below.

srvctl add service -s NEWSRV -r RAC1 -a RAC2,RAC3 -d RAC

1) what will happen if RAC1 is not available.
a) connections will go to RAC2 only
b) connections will go to RAC3 only
C) connections will go to RAC1 and RAC3
d) connections will go to RAC2 or RAC3 (depends on least loaded node)

2) what will happen if RAC1 was down, connections are moved to RAC2 and then RAC1 is up and RAC2 is down

a) connections will go to RAC1 only
b) connections will go to RAC3 only
c) connections will go to RAC1 and RAC3
d) connections will go to RAC1 or RAC3 (depends on least loaded node)

-r preferred_list: The list of preferred instances.
-a available_list: The list of available instances
    srvctl add service -s NEWSRV -r RAC1 -a RAC2,RAC3 -d RAC
    1) what will happen if RAC1 is not available.
    d) connections will go to RAC2 or RAC3 (depends on least loaded node)

    2) what will happen if RAC1 was down, connections are moved to RAC2 and then RAC1 is up and RAC2 is down
    a) connections will go to RAC1 only

Keep in mind, all new connections will always go to the "-r preferred_list" nodes as long as they are up and running.
