      Hi,

I think you can use OMF on both Primary & Standby in order to mange database files.

Yes, you can. and there is no change in procedure for switchover.
for creation of standby DB, consider these parameters: db_create_file_dest,db_recovery_file_dest,control_files

            see an example here: http://pythianpang.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/data-guard-non-asm-primary-to-asm-physical-standby/

              Hi,
It is possible! We use the same configuration. You don't need to worry about switchover or failover differences. The only thing you should take care of is to specify correct parameters for *.db_file_name_convert, *.log_file_name_convert.
              For example:
              *.log_file_name_convert='/oradata/db','+GR1/stdb/redo'
              *.db_file_name_convert='/backup/oradata','+GR2/stdb/datafile','/oradata/db','+GR1/stdb/datafile'

Let me know if you need more information about this configuration.

              HTH,
              Regards,
