Ensure you have 4 GB memory on your laptop.
Then follow the installation guide available at documentation site.

Jdeveloper installtion can be parallel and 2 GB RAM should be enough if you just want to setup developer's machine.

    Thanks

I've enough space , 120GB on my laptop.

Do we have any order to follow?

And specifically please let me know if we have any documentation for -
    1. DataBase installation steps
    2. Start/Sop procedures
    3. Any parameters to declare/export before start of DB.

    And installation documentation for SOA.

    Thanks for the help.

You can find the installation document under this URL.

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/documentation/index.html

    http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2007/06/13/oracle-soa-suite-installation-part-i-database-installation/

Make sure the compatability of database with RCU and SOA server version with database and RCU are ok, before you start installation.
Same with JDeveloper, use jdeveloper and soa server as same.

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html

Check the above URL to check the fusion certifications (*System Requirements*) before starting installation.

Let us know how you go !!!

    Thanks,
    Vijay

Yeah.. I followed all recommended standards only..

One thing i would like to convey -
As i mentioned above that few packages fails at check-level , it doesn't mean that those packages doesn't exist on my machine but they do exists with latest updated versions.
Even I tried like installing the older version , but system doesn't accept.. and just throws a message like " Already installed with latest updated version"

My question / doubt - though we already have all latest updated versions on the machine , now ignoring those errors at check-level doesn't accept without any issues going further ???
Do we face any problems after installations?

    Thanks

the least trouble when comes to install oracle software in linux is to install "Oracle-Validated" which has, if not all , the most of the pre-reqs.

    google "Oracle-Validated "

    Hi Friends,

Do anyone have idea whether I can proceed further by ignoring the failed packages or not ?
Did anyone came across my situation?

Actually I do have the latest and updated versions of those failed packages.
So only thing was , don't have older versions.

    Thanks

Never mind guys.. I've fixed the package issue.
    (Installed the failed packages forcibly)

Now comes up with new error message ,

Error in invoking target 'install' of makefile '/home/database/app/database/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/ctx/lib/ins_ctx.mk'.
    See '/home/database/app/oraInventory/logs/installActions2012-11-23_04-26-40PM.log' for details.

Can someone look into this error ?

    Thanks

Do you see the file under the specified folder ?
Exception clearly says its not able to find the file under that path, could be found in different folder.

Try to locate it and change the path and run again.

    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay,

The file exists under the same path which was shown in the error message itself.

    Thanks
