Hi,

I have problems installing opscenter. Solaris 11.1 is used. OCDoctor.sh --check-connectivity works fine.
Has anyone seen this problem?

Are you using an http proxy in your environment?

If so, try setting the following before the installation:
    export http_proxy="webproxy.domain.com:port"

Also, try running "OCDoctor.sh --ec-prereq" before you install - it should detect if the OS is unable to connect to the parent S11 MSR.

The "--check-connectivity" currently does not check for Solaris 11 IPS connectivity - although it's a great idea to add it there.

Hi, I noticed some known issues regarding solaris 11.1 in the release notes, maybe you can have a quick look and see if there's something in there that might help?

I also tried the installation without the a proxy server. ("direct connected to the internet") In that case the installation works fine.
    Any more ideas?

    Refer to https://support.oracle.com doc..

    Doc ID 1401049.1
Summary: Registering a Solaris 11 System Fails with "Framework error: code: 28 reason: Connection timed out after 60000 milliseconds"

Doc points out two possibilities, in addition to the proxy setting Eran pointed out, another possibility is that a firewall may be blocking a needed bi-directional access on port 443

So, if it works fine without a proxy server..... then dont use a proxy server?

Basically, it only works directly, seems like.
Thats why it wont work if you try to run it in a solaris zone, either.

Hi, I am afraid I have to use a www-proxy when accessing the internet. I have read the Doc ID 1401049.1, this is not the problem.
Has any one found a solution?
    Some more info below....

Ops center install does not completely rely on cli environment variables for proxy, meaning it iniates download via proxy but then after a while goes over to direct communication.

    Logs:

    Execute: /var/tmp/OC/xvmoc_full_bundle/install

Verifying we can reach the solaris IPS repository.
This may take a couple of minutes if it is not currently reachable.
    solaris IPS publisher is reachable
