    Dashboard prompt needs to work like column selector functionality

    937325
      Hi Experts,

      I had a requirement to create two dashboard prompts i.e Year and Quarter ( In Radio Button) but should not display values of those columns. so when we select Year Radio Button then the x-axis of graph Reports in dashboard page should display based on year values, if we select Radio Button as Quarter then the x-axis of graph report in dashboard page should display
      based on Quarter values.

      Normally this is a column selector Functionality, But how can we achieve this in Dashboard Prompt.

      Please reply me the valuable answers as the requirement is very urgent.

      Thanks & Regards,

      Tinku.

          Hi,

          This Can be done by using variable prompt

          1) Go to analytics --> create dashboard prompt ->.select new prompt column (type as variable prompt)
          2) set Prompt for presentation vairable as SELECT_COLUMNS and select user input as "choice list" then
          3) add required columns (selection list like column selector) then
          4) you can alos set as Default selection column then
          5) Go to edit your analysis set it like below (use user variable prompt value)
          "table name"."@{SELECT_COLUMNS}{default Column}"
          and also u can set dynamic column header just set it @{SELECT_COLUMNS}{default Column}

          For more refer the below steps,
