    Hi,

Yes. You can create two different OA Workspace/Projects and make different database connections from 'Connection Navigator' in jDeveloper.
Then in project properties (Runtime Connections) give different details for different instances.

    Hi Sushanth,

Thank you very much for your propmt reply.

jdeveloper is different for two instances.. assume i have a 11i instance and R12 instance..

    11i instance - jdeveloper9
    R12instance -jdeveloper10

if i want to use 11i instance i have set the environment variable for jdeveloper9 then am using...

same time i want to use R12 Instance means jdevelopr10 , again am changing environment variable for jdeveloper2 for windows then am using..jdevelopr10.

can we use simultaniously 11I Instance Jdeveloper9 and R12 Instance Jdeveloper10?.

    hope you clear the situation.

    Thanks

    Hi ,

11i and R12 has a different version of developers , you need to download appropriate version before start working .
You can't use the same version of Jdevloper for 11i / R12 .

    Hi ,

    My understanding .

If the class path is not set then both should work .

Note : Only few version of Jdeveloper will work without setting the class path .

Once the class path is set in Environment variable , then it will work only for the version to which the class path is set .
the other will now work .

    Hi,
If you didnt have the JDEV_USER_HOME environement variable set,
you can use 11i Jdev and R12 jdev simultaneously.

Have your project files(.jws, jpr..etc) under its own jdevbin/jdev/myprojects directories.

You will not have any problem.
