    Deleted asm header in error

long story short, during maintenance an asm disk got deleted in error.

      oracleasm deletedisk <disk name>

      oracleasm scandisk

this brought down my diskgroup. not enough disks. couldnt start/mount it again, same error, not enough disks.

I didnt have time to play with trying to stamp it again, so just recreated the disk, recreated the disk group and restored and recovered the database.

If I know the lun, and the lun hasnt been formatted, is the data still there and is it as simple as just stamping with the same header name?

There are many cases out there where the header has been corrupted and how to recover from that but this is slightly different in that theres no header at all.
