I'm still fairly new to jDeveloper and I know I have a fair share to learn. As such I do try to get the best practices in as soon as possible.
I'm following the tutorial found in the book "Oracle ADF Real World Developer's Guide". In chapter 2, the author indicates that it is a good practice to organize the different elements (Entities, Views, Service, etc.) in dedicated packages.
I've tried to replicate the following setup in my tutorial application :
I created my components via the BC wizards and provided the "path" of the packages in the editor, which does display the hierarchy, further adding to my confusion.
If anyone can point me what I did wrong, or if it is some preference to adjust, I'd be grateful.
the structure is okay, its a display difference. In JDeveloper --> Application Developer. In the header of the Application Navigator you see 4 icons. Use the one at the right (looks like a list). This allows you to show the package level either combined or separate. Play with it
