    date format issue

      Hi All

We want to change the entire date format to 'DD-MON-YYYY' at our rpd level.

By going through some links i have altered the NLS_DATE_FORMAT to 'DD-MON-YYYY' in connection pool , but still its not working.

I have used evaluate function and then it works , but at the report level , however we want this to appear this date format even at filters or prompts stage as well.

How can i achieve this? Can somebody please eloborate me on this ?

Many thanks for your time on this.

          Hi,

Add any date column in criteria, go to column properties > data format > Override default Data format >Custom Date Format . Give the format as DD-MON-YYYY here.
The Save as Default > System Wide Default for this data type.

This will make the format for all Date datatypes as DD-MON-YYYY .

          Thanks

            Hi Maqsood

Thanks for your reply , i know this procedure as we do this at report level , but i am asking on how to do this at rpd level as we want the values of dates in filters or prompts to be displayed as 'DD-MON-YYYY' format , the procedure suggested by you will show results in answers but not in filters/prompts.

Please suggest me the procedure on how can we achieve this at rpd level.

Thanks for your time on this.

              Hi,

Not sure how it can be done in RPD. But you can default it for all date columns in config files. Follow the links below.
