What OS platform and version are you running?
This is your first clone attempt? or this was working for you at some point?
Are you cloning to the same host or another?
Having the sd-trace.log for the snap connect would be useful. For that matter, a snapdrive.dc and smo operation dump for the clone attempt is best.
If you can open a support case and upload those logs to it, let me know the case number.

I am running Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 126.96.36.199.0 - 64bit Production on Solaris 10.
This is my first clone on that server. I am actually cloning on a different server/host.
ok no issue....
please user below steps:-
1>>copy all datafiles+redo log files + oracle binaries to new server.
2>>create new .profile file + add all environmental variables from old serves
3>>run .profile file like [ . ./.profile]
4>>update init.ora files with new location
5>>connect to sqlplus /as sysdba
6>>open DB in nomount mode
7>>create now control files with all new datafiles location.
8>> ones DB in mount mode now u can try to recover DB (and the alert database open )
