ODI -- PIPE Delimited file loadig

    977032
We are introducing ODI tool for the first time.

We have successfully imported fixed format UNIX file into ODI and loaded data.

We have second set of files in PIPE Delimited format, when we are trying to reverse engineer and import them as Delimited file, we are getting error message.

If someone can share their thoughts and experience it is well appreciated.

          Hi and Welcome,

A good start is to post the error message...
          They are usually helpful.

You cannot attach it here but you can upload it on a free service like http://tinypic.com/ and copy/paste the url here.

But I think a copy/paste of the error message should be enough :).

The error message that is throwing is not correct " The Directory speciified in the Schema does not exist" ----- Which is not true -- because all other files are pulled from same place

The path is case-sensitive so check that you write it the right way.
Double-check that there is no typo (or copy/paste it from the other datastores).

I can not help further without more details...

Path is correct , It's same for other files, since other files are set for Fixed, when you move to columns tab REVERSE ENGINEER FROM COBOL FILES is highlighted, when you choose Delimited,REVERSE ENGINEER FROM COBOL FILES tab is greyed out.

On the Definition and Files tab do we have to do any thing different for Delimited files ???? ( Basically once you choose Delimited ODI is not recognising)
