I'm following this Oracle guide called 'Adventure Travel' to create an application, in the guide it says use this statement to add a procedure:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE
add_country_for_activity(p_activity_num AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES.activity_num%TYPE,p_country_id AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES.country_id%TYPE)
INSERT INTO AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES (country_id,activity_num) VALUES (p_country_id,p_activity_num);
That is exactly how the code is in the guide, but when I view that procedure in the Object Browser of Apex, it says there is an error with the code - “PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ”end-of-file“ when expecting one of the following: ;” Anyone see the error?
add new line after
containing single slash character as above
Hi thanks, I tried the slash character after END; but it doesn't seem to have worked, the object browser is still reporting the same error.
CREATE TABLE AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES
post complete SQL for statement started above
Welcome to the forum.
Your problem seems to be related to APEX's object browser:
As you can see, there are no errors.
SQL> create table at_country_activities (country_id number, activity_num number); Table created. SQL> create or replace procedure add_country_for_activity 2 ( p_activity_num at_country_activities.activity_num%type 3 , p_country_id at_country_activities.country_id%type 4 ) 5 is 6 begin 7 insert into at_country_activities 8 (country_id, activity_num) 9 values 10 (p_country_id, p_activity_num); 11 end; 12 / Procedure created. SQL> show error No errors.
You might want to check the APEX forum @ Oracle Application Express (APEX)
Ahh, I'll try the Apex forum then, thanks for your time
