Sachin Srivastava wrote:Looks like bad design. Why are you passing multiple values in an atomic datatype?
I am executing the below code in Toad. I want to pass the value in CLOB
Value will be of
I_ITEM_NO := '01234567/01234568/01234569/.... up to 100 reoccurnces.
Multiple values should be passed via a structured datatype, such as a collection, array or using a database table.
requirement is to show the value in refcursor at toad and how to pass the above value in CLOB.Refcursors don't store values, so you can't show values in a refcursor.
A ref cursor is a pointer to a cursor/query which you reference when you want to fetch the data through it.
How that works in TOAD... is not relevant to the Oracle SQL and PL/SQL forums. Visit www.quest.com and seek assistance from them.
Hi HAVe done changes in code
I changed data type from CLOB to varchar2 i_item_no IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL,
and used transalte command
/* SELECT (REPLACE (REPLACE ((REPLACE (i_item_no, ',')), '%'), '_'))
IF LENGTH (TRIM (TRANSLATE ((REPLACE (REPLACE ((REPLACE (i_item_no, ',')
) IS NULL
