Isn't this really a Linux related question, suitable for one of the linux forums, not Database - Installation?
With a couple keywords in the forums search I find, not very surprisingly, threads in the OL forum get most hits.
By default, the Oracle account is not in /etc/sudoers, so you cannot use the sudo command to become root.
You can try the following:
$ su - root
# cd /etc/yum.repos.d
# wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-el5.repo
# yum install emacs
