I will install oracle 11g client in one application server ( OS HP-UX 64 bit)
do I need to create new mount point for installing client?
Through application server I will access database server ( rac).
I have no enough space available in / or root mount point.
I have space in /opt mount point, can I make directory in /opt/uo1/app and install client in this location to access database?

What df -h or df -tg return? You can check which path you have valid space, than you can choose that path during installation. Oracle do not care which path you are using for installation
