Weblogic Memory Issue

Hi,

Our ADF Application running on weblogic 10.3.5 is bit slow in operation. This is the only application deployed in this server machine.

The server specification is below -

Intel Xeon Processor @3.0GHZ
RAM 5 GB
Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition Service Pack 2 64 Bit
Weblogic is using bundled JDK 1.6_24 - 32 Bit JVM.

We already have tuned our Application. We want to tune weblogic more.
Sometimes, it takes time to load UI & communicating with database. Our application EAR file is of 28 MB.

How can we allocate more memory for weblogic ?

Thanks.

More memory will (probably) not resolve your issue.

"Sometimes, it takes time to load UI & communicating with database."

Take a look at the queries that are used, in the UIs that load slow.

To increase the memory, you can use setDomainEnv and set the Xmx and Xms to a higher value or set (and use) the USER_MEM_ARGS parameter.
Some example are given here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6388

    Hi,
You can follow this link to get into weblogic tuning details :
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13814/toc.htm

Firstly you will have to identify the probable areas where the application is getting slow. These can be lack of memory/cpu, high i/o, network congestion or db response. Depending on the responses you can tune your overall application deployment.
