Regarding installing RAC

Hi All,

I am installing RAC on my Laptop using VM ware worstation . I have created two linux machines on VM ware with 1 gb merory on each machine . I installed 10.2.0.1 clusterware succcessfully but when i am installing 10.2.0.1 database binaries my machine reebotts every time .

Please suggest the best way i can overcome it.

    Normally a node will reboot due to below reasons :

    Private interconnect Issue
    Voting Disk not accessible
    High Memory/CPU utilization

    Please check your N/W and shared storage setting . Also there are many docs/videos available , you can follow them for configuring the same.

    You can check CSS/OS logs to find reason for node reboot.

    Ur machine is rebooting due to Install ur RAC on VM i have also face the same isue.

    Do 1 thing got to vm settings over thre u RAM is using 1024mb or try to adjust according to ur ram and add these parameters:

    Set following kernel parameter in /etc/system file and reboot the server.

    set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=629145600
    set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100
    set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=256
    set semsys:seminfo_semmni=100
