OPTIMIZER_FEATURES_ENABLE acts as an umbrella parameter for enabling a series of optimizer features based on an Oracle release number.
For example, if you upgrade your database from release 8.0.6 to release 9.2, but you want to keep the release 8.0.6 optimizer behavior, you can do so by setting this parameter to 8.0.6. At a later time, you can try the enhancements introduced in releases up to and including release 9.2 by setting the parameter to 9.2.0.
Pl set this to 126.96.36.199 to take advantage of optimizer features and enhancements available with 188.8.131.52. Make this change in a test environment first, test the application, then make the change in production
Thanks for the info.
But before changing optimizer_features_enable='184.108.40.206' in test also, I need to know performance impact.
Are there any Note IDs or any docs which explains impact on performance after changing this parameter.
Before I start working on trail and error method, I want to know the impact thru any of the oracle docs.
Please provide me any of those docs to know the impact.
Thanks in advance.
I do not believe there are any MOS Docs about this subject. Major new features introduced in 220.127.116.11 are documented
Pl log an SR with Support to see if they have any information regarding optimizer changes between 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124
