There is some question about yum.
To set yum server, have to set some in below file.
I have a quetion which is basic.
oracle linux 6u3 which translated 'origial red hat kernel' is being operated, then what item do I have to enable of below items.
what is the letter '_ga_'
what is the letter '_base_'
what is difference between '_latest_' and '_base_'
thank you for reading this content.
All you need to enable is ol6_latest, which is enabled by default. This will give you access to the latest errata and updates.
As far as I know the letters GA stand for "General Availability", which is the first production release. You don't need it. The "base" repository is the same software as the OS distribution media and does not contain any further errata and updates, for instance, Oracle Linux 6 update 2.
