Localize User Input

Hi,

I have a interesting situation, I am localizing a webcenter portal, I am able to localize labels and business content, errors messages etc.
Though customer is asking that if some one renders our application in a local language he should be able to enter data in his local language only.
i.e. if some one have german in his locale, then he should be entering any inputs text in german only, what all I should be doing to get that ?

Thanks,
Ashish

Take a look at this thread: Re: Validations in WCM Multilingual sites

Though there can be some simple checks a general validation that an entered text is in this or that language (unless it has its own alphabet) is very difficult.

okey, suppose I disregard the input language check/validation just for the sake of discussion, and expect the user to always type in a language set in his locale, what all I need to modify to successfully insert the other language input in database. i.e. how to make my portal take any language data and store it in DB and the render it on screen.

I'd recommend you to start with this chapter: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_languages.htm#JPSDG6884

There are, however, numerous resources how to use multiple languages in WebCenter Portal:
