We did alot of customization in Dashbaords, Repository & ETL workflows. weather they will be effected?
and how about if i install new OBIA application & OBIEE11g then i migrate old BI repository & Catalog? is it possible ?
You can go with any of the approach..
Its all up to you.. based on your module check the differences between these 2 bi apps versions.. if there is functionality wise changes then go with Apps 188.8.131.52 and then add your customization.. if everything is same then just go with version upgrade for both rpd, webcat and Informatica rep..
hope this helps
Hi Thanks alot.
I am going for new obiee 11g installation.
What should i consider if i go for new OBIEE11g Installation and then importing ?
Can i import Customized Object from Old infomatica to new version of Infomatica without applying any patch or some and can i also import Objects into BI Repository ?
after this will answer correct.
Go with 11g installation. You can go with current rpd, webcat with upgrade using ua.bat, then decide what you want to do.
can go with existing or else merge with BI Apps 7963 version rpd/webcat using available options..
For Informatica you have to go with repository upgrade, you need to install latest version on existing Informatica installation that will take care of upgrade..
To export and import you may get version error.. upgrade is the choice
Hope this helps :)
For any other options send me a email
