    RMAN Incremental Backup

    sagt.vishwa
      Hi;
      Im using Oracle database 11.1. I configured RMAN to my database with a separate catalog db. My backup policy is
      1. RMAN level 0 backup on every Sunday *(BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL 0 DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;)*
      2. RMAN level 1 backup on everyday *(BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1 CUMULATIVE DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;)*

      I didn't enable Block change Tracking here. So my question is whether I can use above commands to correctly backup my DB and in case of a disaster will I be able to recover the DB using those backups?

      Regards
      Vish

          Hello,

          Welcome to OTN !!

          Even though you do not enable block change tracking, you should be able to take the backup of the DB using the commands you have mentioned and also use these backups to recover them.
