I have a export (exp) dump of a schema. I am trying to import (imp) this schema into another database. Import is taking more than anticipated time (greater than 16 hours). After investigationg found that there is a table MAPSOURCE_BLOB which has BLOB datatype. The inserting rate for this table is 1000 rows per hour and the source has 240,000 rows. That means this table alone will take 240 hours to refresh, which is obviously not acceptable. Please let me know how to increase the speed of this import so that it will finish in reasonable amount of time. Both databases are Oracle 10g 10.2.0.3.0.
Pl post OS details, the complete exp and imp commands, and the first 10 lines of the exp and imp log files. Have you tried using expdp/impdp instead ?
