multiple active standby pairs on the same pair of hosts

    932780
      Dear sir,

I have already created an active standby pair(without cache group) and managed by Oracle Clusterware and it work fine.

Now ,I create another DSN and I also want to create another active standby pair on the same 2 hosts.

I try to setup and reference this setting:
      http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21901_01/doc/timesten.1122/e21632/upgrade.htm#CIAHEBBH

But I get error message in ttcwmessage :
TT17013 The default hostname cannot be set to host_name because a local host of host_name is currently in use

Is it possible that I can create more than one A/S pair(with different DSN) ?
      Or any other solution? Thanks!

      TimesTen version:11.2.2.3.3 (64 bit Linux/x86_64)

How you are configuring the new DSNs ? Has it needed to be managed by CRS ?

          Regards

            Dear Rajesh,

            Thanks for reply.
            Yes.
The old DSN is nrett and the new DSN is CONTAINER.
The new DSN is also needed to be managed by Oracle CRS,too.

              Thanks for the update.

But can you share when exactly you are getting this error ?

Is ttcwadmin -create or ttcwadmin -start is working fine for DSN CONTAINER ?

Are you trying to set hostname using ttHostNameSet builtin procedure ?

              Regards
              Rajesh

                Thanks for reply.

It failed at ttcwadmin -create step.
I am not set hostname using ttHostNameSet builtin procedure.

Are you able to configure "Container" DSN using

                  [CONTAINER]
                  MasterHosts=nrett01p,nrett02p

Can you share your /etc/hosts file output ?

Is it possible for you to raise Service Request with Oracle Support ? There are certain things which we can verify more through SR .

                  Regards
