Syntax for exporting through MaxL to network drives

I'm trying to archive a database to an .arc file on a network drive (B:). So far all I'm getting is "cannot open object file" and then whatever syntax I'm using. So far this has all failed:

alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file "B:\DB.arc";
alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file "B:\*\DB.arc";
alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file 'B:\DB.arc';
alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file 'B:\*\DB.arc';
alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file 'B:/DB.arc';
alter database 'APPNAME'.'DBNAME' force archive to file 'B://DB.arc';

I've also tried to use the computer name and then the directory, but that's not working either.

I'm also not sure how to reference any folder without using "../" from the perspective of the app folder. I'm assuming the answer to both questions is the same.

Thanks for your time and help on this. Happy Holidays.

(The asterisks aren't actually there when I run the command, it's just to prevent OTN from turning the double slash into a line break.)
