CAM Questions

I'm managed to get CAM installed, connected to my array, cleared all of the drive arrays, and started getting things going.

1) How do I rename an Array with CAM. I for the life of me can't find any ituitive option for that.

2) Is there a way to check the SMART health of a given drive? All of the drives were online when I deleted the volumes and virtual disks, but I'd like to see what health information I can gleam to replace any possible flackey drives

3) I'm getting the batteries are old warning, but they seem to be charged. Is there a way I can supress this warning?

See the manual (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24008_01/pdf/E24011.pdf) page 38. It explains how to edit the array details. You can also use the CLI, see the other manual "http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24008_01/pdf/E24015.pdf".

No, you cannot perform a healthcheck on the drives. However you can look at the events using CAM BUI or CLI, in order to see if you have errors on drives.

What is the exact alarm you get ? And what is the array model you have ?

You need to use CAM Service Advisor to reset the battery age.
