            I changed even as how it is in /etc/hosts

              check your listener status again....

              else you can directly connect to oracle database

              sqlplus / as sysdba
              or

              sqlplus username/password


              please remove this entry from host file

                                  2.your hostfile contains only one entry for test1.com not four entries

                                    You can recreate your Listener using netca GUI and try to start it up again.
