It just looks like a warning message.
See what is the status of the Assignment and also the start/end dates of the element entry you're attaching ?
Are you attaching an element after the assignment end date ?
Please check, from which date the payroll is created.
1. The assignment doesn't have a payroll;
2. The assignment does have a payroll, but the payroll calendar doesn't include the effective date for your session.

I think you are trying to add it through backend. If yes, please check once that the person type is not ex-employee for the date you are trying to add the element.
May be the employee has future termination date.
