Sorry for the extreme noob question here, but my boss informed me yesterday that I need to bone up on oracle vm for our infrastructure. I am a vmware vcap and have spent the last few years totally immersed in vmware, so this is a big leap.
1. Can I get evaluation of OVM to learn how it works?
2. Can I run an evaluation in a nested Linux environment under say vmware fusion (desktop) like I do with vsphere/ESX?
Any advice appreciated,I am current on the road and limited access to research this, hence the post which I am sure has been answered before, but hoping I can have some QuickStart info when I get off the plane tomorrow morning to get me started.
Any pointers, docs, etc to read will be much appreciated!
you can download OVM from edelivery.oracle.com/linux after having registered an account on otn.oracle.com free of charge - as with any Oracle product.
There are OVM templates available for VirtualBox, but I don't think they're any for VMWare…
