is xmltype() constructor is depricated.

Hi,

i got infromation that xmltype() constructoit is depricated and xmlparser is used is it correct?

"Starting 11gR2, Oracle has deprecated many older proprietary mainly XPath 1.0 based operators
in favor of standards based XQuery syntax,"

    The official documentation lists all the deprecated constructs. The XMLTYPE constructor is not mentioned as being deprecated. See:

    The XMLTYPE constructor is much richer in functionality than XMLPARSE. See:

    I would suggest you get another source for your information. XMLtype doesn't have any depricated constructors.
    And another suggestion, mark your questions as answered. You are posting several questions about these xml things, several are answered and none is marked as so.
