Hello Forum mates

i want to give permission to other users in my Linux. i have /u01, /u02, /u03 created in my system i tried chmod -R 775 but nothing happens when i log-in as oracle user and create a directory it gives me permission denied .

      i used chmod go+x too...

      thank you.

You will also need to specify the right owner for your /u01 etc. directories. They are root by default, meaning with 775, Oracle will not have write permissions. The following should do the trick:

          # chown oracle:oinstall /u01 /u02 /u03
