Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer for IE8 and IE 9

and it was working with Win XP and IE7...

my Oracle application verion is 11.5.10.2

i have checked the IE8 is certified with 11i for win7..

Pl verify you meet all of the requirements in this MOS Doc

Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 285218.1]

Does IE work when accessing regular websites ? Does the EBS log in screen display ? Are there any toolbars (or popup blockers etc) installed in IE ? Did this ever work before ? If so, what has changed ?

It is recommended to use JRE since JInitiator is not supported on Win 7.

What is the complete error message?

Do you get this error after you login and try to open the forms?

Any errors in the Jinitiator Console Window?

This is an expected behavior since you have to upgrade Jinitiator to JRE -- It is a must and not just recommended (as mentioned above).

Can you check the version of java on other clients where its running fine.

Hussein has already said verly clearly, you have to upgrade to JRE.

If you install jinitiator explorer just stops working. See the documents referred in previous posts.

See my reply to see how we used to get it running on windows 7 with IE8 before upgrade to R12.

It is working with explorer 8 on windows 7 professional and XP (thats what i tested), what is your browser version

Just to makes sure, you did it in the following order i guess

    installed jinitiator (JInitiator 1.3.1.21)
installed jre-6u13-windows-i586-p.exe (make sure you are downloading jre6 update 13)
then copied jvm from jre-6u13 to JInitiator 1.3.1.21

You have to upgrade to Developer 6i Patch 19, not just upgrading your jre on client.

What version of browser are you using IE8 or IE9
    Windows 7 pro ?

we have many windows 7 pro and home editions accessing 11.5.10.2 forms (6.0.8.27.0) on IE8 with the workaround i posted above.
