          This is likely an Oracle bug and you should contact Oracle Support:
          $ oerr ora 7445
          07445, 00000, "exception encountered: core dump [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s]"
          // *Cause: An OS exception occurred which should result in the creation of a
          //         core file.  This is an internal error.
          // *Action: Contact your customer support representative.

              Hi,

              ORA-07445 is mostly caused by the Incompatible oracle client making connection or trying to execute complex code causing huge memory dump.
              Search for "machine" in the trace file reported in the alert log to identify the user or application server & verify its client version compatibility with your newly patched RDBMS version

              Thanks,

                Can you provide some reference about ORA-07445 root causes ?
                What does exactly "execute complex code causing huge memory dump" mean ?

                In this specific case, database instance runs under Unix, Unix has sent SIGSEGV signal because of invalid memory access by application code: in general this means a bug in application code (here Oracle kernel) or possibly a bug in Unix kernel.
