I am configuring physical standby (DB 126.96.36.199) and i have created and copied the standby control file of primary to standby.
What is the value to be given for control_files init.ora parameter ? can i give as below OR i need to move the control files to ASM?
and then proceed with below rman commnads,
$ rman target sys/oracle@prod auxiliary /
RMAN> DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE FOR STANDBY;
When controlfile get restored the new controlfile name will be changed by RMAN automatically on your SPFILE.
