    Post comparision all i can say that we have to remove below two lines...


    <data id="agent-port-active" value="true"/>
    <data id="agent-secure-port-active" value="false"/>

    Can you check if these lines are present in your new opmn.xml? If you have any test environment you can test this.but these settings should also work some time there must any other problem with essbase thats why you was unable to start opmn serivces and got maximun try error.

    In my case as i remember i think numproc value got changed( given below line).

    <process-set id="AGENT" numprocs="1" restart-on-death="false">

    There should be nothing wrong with having those two lines in the opmn.xml as it is common to have those in.

    <process-set id="AGENT" numprocs="1" restart-on-death="false">

    is also common unless you start using clustering.
