Number of pages of each document

      Hello,

I am wondering how can i know the number of pages of each document in the UCM, is there a table that stores this information ? is there a script that i can run to know this information ?

Keeping in mind that all the documents are in PDF format.

      Thanks,

          Hi,

There is no table to store such informations . Yo may create custom metadata filed for documents to have it.

You would have to, as Kuba said, create a custom metadata field to hold this value.

Then, you would need to create a custom component, which has a checkin filter, that uses a library (such as iText) to grab the number of pages and put this in the metadata field.

            http://itextpdf.com/itext.php

If you can wait a few days, I might be able to create a component that does this for you.

              Gents,

I already uploaded more than 200 K document, and each document contains 3 to 6 pages...

I am uploading the document through Oracle Document capture...

So this means that i have to count the number of pages manually ?

If you are uploading documents through ODC, based on what components you have configured, you can get this info @pages imported, pages committed, contents committed, pages failed in the ODC database tables ecAudit and ecBatches.

Ive recently blogged about the various status values in ODC db here >

Feel free to ask any further questions on the same.

                  Sorry for the long delay.

I was finally able to get this component coded and tested. More information can be found here: http://www.mythics.com/blog/pdf-page-numbers-in-webcenter-content
